Recent Upgrades were all completed in the Port Townsend Boat Haven Yard in 2022/2023. Boat is in Like New Condition!

'Skimmer' is powered by a Westerbeke 42 HP Diesel with only 457 hrs! The boat also has a 5KW Westerbeke Generator (632hrs) for all the creature comforts aboard. Both the Main Engine and the Generator are clean and well maintained! The boat is also equipped with a new 400W Solar System. The Reverse Cycle Heating and Air Conditioning runs off Shore Power or the 5KW Generator which provides a comfortable cabin year-round in all latitudes, Hot Water for Showers and more! The Spectra Watermaker ensures there is plenty of water at all times. The Generator is well insulated and lives under the cockpit aft of the Main Engine for quiet operation. 

For Navigation, the boat has a New Raymarine Navigation Suite with the Sailing Package including (2) Multi-Function Touch Screen Chart Plotters, Radar, Speed, Depth, Wind Speed and Direction, Auto Pilot and a New Standard Horizon Quantum VHF with a RAM Mic and more! (See 'More Details' for Specs)

This design is one of Bob Perry’s best and is capable of going anywhere in the world. The boat is incredibly seaworthy, known to sail well in all wind directions and has all the amenities aboard for cruising in comfort.

The Cockpit is roomy and comfortable with New Cockpit Cushions (2023), a New Bimini with a Sail Window(2023), Dodger, Wheel Steering with Navigation Displays on the Pedestal, Large Self-Tailing Winches, Fishing Rod Holder, Outboard Engine Mounts, Outboard Engine Hoist Crane and more! The side decks are wide and easy to maneuver upon fore and aft and the boat has Stainless Steel Lifelines and Handrails.

Accommodations:

Going below through the Companionway takes you down a few steps in the Cabin Area. The Aft Cabin is immediately to port through a Privacy Door and has a Double Berth, Hanging Closet and Storage, Mirror, Closable Interior “Window”, Reading Lights, and Opening Port Lights and an Overhead Hatch.

A Full Head is to starboard with an Electric Toilet (New 2023), Sink with Hot and Cold Pressure Water, Mirrors, a Separate Shower Stall, Storage and Opening Port Lights and an Overhead Hatch.

The U-Shaped Galley is forward of the Aft Cabin to port and has lots of Counter Space, a Refrigerator and Freezer, 4-Burner LPG Stove and Oven, Microwave, Double Stainless Steel Sink with Hot and Cold Pressure Water, Manual Foot Pump Faucets for Underway and lots of Storage in Cabinets and Drawers.

Opposite the Galley is the Navigation Station with Battery Monitors (New 2022), the AC/DC Panel, a VHF (New 2022), Chart Plotter (New 2022), Red/White Overhead Lighting, and a Raymarine repeater Display (New 2022). (See 'More Details' for Navigation Equipment)

The Salon is forward and has two large Settee’s and a beautiful Folding Dinette Table in the middle. There are Book Shelves above the Settee’s and Cabinets for Storage, New Upholstery and Cushions. The are many Opening Port Lights and Overhead Opening Hatches throughout the boat for ventilation and great natural lighting.

Forward of the Salon through a Privacy Door is the Main Cabin that has a Double Berth to port, Reading Lights, Hanging Lockers to starboard, Fan, Overhead Hatch and Port Lights, and Storage in Drawers and Shelves.

All the way forward is a Storage Area with Side Shelves, an Overhead Opening Hatch, Access to the Chain Locker and lots of room to store items large and small.

This is the nicest Valiant 42 we’ve seen and with the work the current owners have done with the Port Townsend Shipwright’s Co-op and other Port Townsend Marine Trades in 2022/2023 the boat is in like new condition and ready for any horizon!
