The Island Packet 445 was designed for offshore cruising and safety. Recessed foredecks with bulwarks, wide side decks, full-length cabin-top handrails, and stainless steel lifeline rails provide excellent security while moving around the boat.
The protected center cockpit places the helm, sail controls, and primary winches within easy reach and provides excellent protection from the elements.

The Island Packet 445 features a bright, spacious interior with a large main salon, linear galley, dedicated navigation station with captain's chair, two private staterooms, and two heads with separate enclosed showers.
Quality teak joinery is found throughout, complemented by approximately 7' of headroom and excellent natural light and ventilation from six large windows, fifteen stainless-steel opening ports, and six opening hatches.
The spacious main salon features two full-length settees with new upholstery (2025). The port settee converts to a double berth. A large dining table folds down from the forward bulkhead, revealing a built-in wine rack, and extends across the salon to accommodate guests seated on both settees.
Located to port adjacent to the companionway, the navigation station is exceptionally well designed for extended cruising. It features a high-back swivel captain's chair, large chart table with storage below, shelving, and ample space for navigation and communication electronics.
The secure and functional galley is located aft of the salon to starboard and extends toward the centerline. Two large Corian countertops provide generous food-preparation space. Equipment includes a top-loading refrigerator, top-loading freezer, double stainless-steel sink, 2-burner induction cooktop and convection oven, microwave, pull-out trash bin, built-in dish racks, cutlery drawer, numerous cabinets, and a water purification system. Opening ports provide additional light and ventilation.
The forward and aft staterooms feature an island double berth with a pillow-top mattress, dedicated HVAC controls, hanging lockers, shelving, cabinets, and an en-suite head with a separate shower. Gas-assisted berth panels lift to provide substantial storage beneath the berths for linens, blankets, towels, and cruising gear.
The aft stateroom also includes a starboard seat and direct access to the large aft storage area/garage.
Both heads feature Corian countertops, stainless-steel sinks, separate shower stalls with folding acrylic doors and molded seats, opening hatches, and ports. The forward head can be accessed from both the forward stateroom and the main salon.
