The Calm Down
The 2024 Bluegame BGX63 is rugged and purposeful, but remains a sleek, Italian-built performance yacht.
With outstanding features like an enclosed “pilothouse-esque" main deck, beach club, and multiple entertainment zones, The Calm Down is packed with smart, functional design.
Exterior (Beach Club Area)
Step aboard the aft cockpit and you’re immediately immersed in the massive, water-level beach club. This yacht was intended as a floating retreat, with flexible exterior space for a variety of activities.
Whether you are an adrenaline junkie with loads of water toys or a seasoned entertainer, the flexible design adapts to your lifestyle.
Tender stowage is simplified by the hydraulic swim platform, and the hidden starboard-side crane makes for easy loading and unloading.
A passerelle that doubles as a swim ladder extends from the starboard quarter. You can either raise or lower it depending on your needs.
To port, you’ll find a refrigerator, icemaker, wet bar, sink, and grill integrated into the deck space.
Power
The engine room can be accessed quickly through a small hatch in the deck or fully via a hydraulic hatch with push-button controls.
The Calm Down is powered by upgraded twin Volvo Penta D13 IPS1200s and Volvo pod drives. She’s rated to cruise comfortably at 27 knots and tops out at 31 knots. At cruising speeds, you’re generally achieving an attractive fuel burn in the 50s per hour and a range closing in around 210 nm.
Lower Saloon
The aft accordion sliding door leads into the lower saloon – an elegant, “below-sea-level” lounge area. An electric shade, pop-up TV, refrigerator, and generous use of glass turn this entertainment zone into one of the best seats on board.
Moving forward, you have the choice of the interior stairwell to the main deck or the full-beam master stateroom.
Main Deck / Upper Salon
The helm station can be found at center. A reverse-raked windshield adds to the BGX63’s robustness and overall utilitarian look.
Twin Garmin screens, throttle, joystick station, and bow thruster are within arm’s reach of the carbon fiber dual helm seat.
The fully integrated Garmin system can control nearly everything on board—from fuel monitoring and Seakeeper to lights and AC.
A wraparound couch and dining table are off to port. The galley and additional cabinet storage are to starboard.
Electric blinds and a retractable sunroof above the helm create a light-filled sanctuary with 360° views.
Upper Deck and Bow Lounge
The upper deck aft cockpit offers a supplementary alfresco dining section, while a quick walk forward brings you to the bow lounge area fitted with lounge pads, electric tables, and one of the best places to soak in the sunshine.
The anchor locker is hidden but easily accessible.
Helm / Accessories
The Volvo joystick station, DPS, and Sidepower bow thruster provide confident operation and docking.
The Dockmate controller allows you to operate from any vantage point, and a Seakeeper SK9 provides stability and comfort when it’s needed most.
A 24kW Kohler generator packs plenty of power, and a Sea Recovery watermaker is perfectly suited for long treks up and down the coast.
Master Stateroom
The full-beam master stateroom is positioned just forward of the lower saloon, providing separation and exclusivity from the other areas of the yacht.
Storage is no issue, with ample space including a large closet, cabinets, and drawers throughout.
An ensuite head features custom marble finishes and a walk-in rain shower.
Forward Staterooms
Down the forward stairs in the main deck are two additional staterooms—a forward VIP with ensuite head, and a starboard guest room with two bunks and a shared hallway head.
Additional bilge/storage access is tucked neatly below the floor in the stairwell.
Crew Quarters
If you're someone who plans to have help with washing and maintenance, the BGX63 has crew quarters discreetly concealed below the bow lounge pads.
The single bunk and head provide more than enough space for a solo crew member or can double as additional stowage.
