Tranquility Base is a great example of a well-cared for vessel. Her current owners recently brought her north to Massachusetts and just had a enjoyable return to Florida. Her previous owners cruised her up and down the east coast, and over to the Bahamas. Her interior is in excellent condition and her exterior has recently been compounded and waxed. Her current owners are leaving her loaded with galley items and a large collection of spares. She is ready to go!
Upgrades that were accomplished include: replacing the aft A/C unit, new full and flybridge accent striping, installation of a new aft bimini which includes sun screen and had a new Strataglass enclosure ($11k value) for the flybridge made just recently. She has also just had her major 3000hr service completed ($5k value) on the Yanmar engines.
Tranquility Base currently sits at our docks in Stuart, FL. Come take a closer look!

There are two new folding chairs. On the foredeck you will find four lockers, two are all the way forward in the hull. On the port side the generator is located in a sound insulated compartment with lots of storage forward. The starboard side is primarily far storage but also contains the black water discharge pump and the raw water wash down pump all at eye level far ease of maintenance. In between the two hull storage areas are two smaller hatches that give access to the fresh water tank and the forward fuel tank. Lots of storage is available above both tanks. The PDQ 34 provides a very open spacious design ideally suited to long distance cruising. With two queen staterooms, lots of entertaining space and unbelievable storage capacity, she has become one of the most popular power catamarans ever built. The MV/34 is powered by Twin 75 HP Yanmar Turbo-Charged Diesels. This provides cruise speed of 13 knots and a fuel burn of about 4.5 GPH. These engines have been very well maintained and now have 3900 hours on them. They are in excellent working order. The full service was just completed in June.
Tranquility Base has all the basic navigational equipment.
LOWER HELM ELECTRONICS:
The Flybridge from the factory is a beautiful layout. The Radar Mast and Bimini Top can easily be dropped down by one person for cruising under low structures. There are not many cruising boats that offer as comfortable a flybridge in just 34' of LOA. Truly remarkable.
UPPER HELM ELECTRONICS
In addition to the deck equipment, this boat has a Heavy Duty Radar Mast with GPS Antenna, Radar Dome, VHF Antenna, and the required navigational lights. The PDQ 34 features large storage locker in each hull at the bow. The generator is installed in the port bow locker and is very accessible for maintenance. Each hull has a water-tight "crash" bulkhead built in below the waterline in the forward section of each hull. There are also nice storage areas located on top of the auxiliary fuel tank and the water tank.
