The Krogen 52' has an asymmectrical deck arrangement. The port side of the main deck is pushed all the way to the sheer. The starboard side has a very wide walk around and hip-high bulwark, and there is an aluminum Dutch door to the galley. The side deck and aft deck are fully covered with a solid teak sole.
There are molded fiberglass steps leading forward from the starboard side deck to the Portuguese bridge and foredeck. There are wing stations port and starboard to make easy work of close quarters maneuvering, and there is generous storage in the Portuguese bridge itself. There are aluminum Dutch doors port and starboard to the pilothouse, and there is a wide door leading to the foredeck. The foredeck has seating/storage immediately forward of the Portugues bridge, high bulwarks and stainless steel rails for added safety. There is a Freeman aluminum hatch to the port side of the bow pulpit giving access to the chain locker and storage.
Going aft from the port side of the pilothouse are molded steps leading up to the boat deck and flybridge, again, with high stainless steel rails all around. The tender and hydraulic crane are on the boat deck as is the summer kitchen and access to the under flybridge storage. Molded fiberglass steps lead up to the flybridge with L-shaped seating and table, twin Stidd chairs and upper helm
The saloon is entered through double weather-tight aluminum doors. The natural light and ventilation is abundant by virture of large opening screened windows to port, starboard, and aft. There is also a retractable screen for the entry doors. There are custom shades and valences for all of the windows.
To starboard is a large L-shaped settee with expandable hi-lo free standing table. The Samsung flat-scree TV rises from behind the settee. To port are two (2) leather recliners. There is generous storage throughout the saloon. Matching granite is used on all horizontal surfaces.
The in-line galley and breakfast bar is forward of the saloon. There is also a separate galley entrance from the starboard side deck through a Dutch aluminum door. The galley is tastefully accented with a tile floor and glass backsplash.
Major components include:
Down and forward of the saloon/galley is the open office. There is plenty of desk space and storage, locking drawer, file drawer and cabinet, and large opening ports.
Opposite the open office to starboard is the guest stateroom and en suite head. The stateroom has twin berths, a hanging locker, excellent drawer and cabinet storage, and large opening ports.
Forward is the en suite head with tile floor, vanity, medicine cabinet, and a large stall shower with opening port and glass shower door.
Opposite the guest cabin is the laundry with stacked Bosch washer and dryer.
Forward is the spacious master stateroom and en suite head. The stateroom features a centerline queen size berth, two (2) hanging lockers, four (4) large opening ports, two (2) overhead hatches with Oceanair shades/screens, and a large mirrored vanity. There is storage throughout the stateroom.
Upon entering the stateroom the entrance to the en suite head is to port. There is a tile floor, vanity with opening port, and a large stall shower with molded seat, opening port, and a glass shower door.
Up and forward from the saloon/galley is the ship-like pilothouse with commanding views for the captain, and plenty of seating for guests. There are twin Stidd helm chairs for the captain and mate, and a large L-shaped leather settee with expandable table for guests. There are opening screened windows port and starboard, aluminum Dutch doors port and starboard, and an opening port, so natural ventilation is a no-brainer. There is also a black headliner for those nighttime passages. This is also the perfect spot for morning coffee.
