There's something refreshingly unapologetic about EXTRA's approach to yacht building. Whilst others chase market trends or attempt to please everyone, the Italian builder has doubled down on what they do best: creating vessels that prioritise performance without abandoning luxury. The X110 FAST's latest incarnation, featuring bold new interiors by Giuseppina Arena, exemplifies this philosophy perfectly.
The safe, neutral palettes that dominate much of today's yacht design have been abandoned in favour of something far more courageous. Her interiors pulse with deliberately intense colours and textures that respond dramatically to the Mediterranean light. This isn't decoration for decoration's sake, but a considered architectural approach that treats the yacht's interior as a living, breathing environment.
The material selection tells its own story. Premium leathers develop character with age, whilst hand-applied lacquers catch and reflect light with an almost jewel-like intensity. Glass panels embedded with fabric create unexpected visual layers, turning functional surfaces into design statements.
Beyond the striking aesthetics lies serious engineering. The carbon-cored composite construction and planing hull configuration with spray rails create a platform capable of genuine high-speed cruising. This is where EXTRA's philosophy becomes clear. The yacht's draft opens access to shallow anchorages that other vessels simply cannot reach.
Below deck, the layout prioritises both privacy and light. The master suite sits lower in the hull but compensates with floor-to-ceiling windows and an impressive skylight that transforms the space into something unexpectedly airy. Three additional guest cabins maintain the same commitment to natural illumination and quality finishes, whilst the crew quarters and tender garage demonstrate proper attention to operational requirements.
The 50-square-metre flybridge continues the yacht's theme of outdoor living, with distinct areas for dining, lounging, and sunbathing. The hardtop provides necessary shade without compromising the open-air experience, whilst the forward seating area offers a more intimate escape from the main entertainment spaces.
EXTRA has created something genuinely different with the X110 FAST. This isn't simply another fast cruiser with updated furnishings, but a thoughtful reimagining of what performance yachting can offer.
Extra Yachts, the Palumbo Superyachts brand, has something extra special in store for the new X100 Fast. The Italian shipyard just unveiled the interiors of the 110-foot model, with the renders showing strikingly unconventional living quarters.
The newcomer, which was announced last December, features a stylish exterior with soft lines, a planing hull, and a vertical bow. The superstructure has been moved towards the bow, resulting in forward-leaning volumes and a larger stern. The vessel is also fitted with fold-down bulwarks that take it from 25 to 30 feet wide.
The interiors, brought to life by Giuseppina Arena, eschew tradition in favor of a fresh contemporary design. The unusual play of levels throughout creates rare volumes, according to Extra. The lower deck offers almost 10 feet of height, for example. That spacious, airy feel extends throughout the entire living quarters, with floor-to-ceiling windows and skylights bathing the rooms in natural light.
The palette is described as “fresh, intense, and vibrant,” with rich leathers, shiny lacquers, gleaming glass, and soft fabrics creating a symphony of textures and hues. Lighting has been elegantly integrated into each space, enhancing lines and curves.
The owner’s suite on the main deck has been lowered for a private, more exclusive vibe and outfitted with an en suite, wardrobe, and lounge. Other accommodation includes two en suite twins, one VIP, and a separate crew quarters.
Heading outside, the aft deck offers nearly 1,000 square feet of space over three levels. You’ll find a beach area with sunbeds and a transformer, a central lounge, and a dining area with an open kitchen. Up top, the flybridge is adorned with a dining table, a bar, and more sofas and sunbeds. At the bow lies another lounge with uninterrupted ocean panoramas. On the side is a garage that can hold a tender.
As for propulsion, the aptly named X110 Fast is envisioned with three 2,000 hp MAN engines that enable an approximate top speed of 40 knots and cruising speed of 30 knots.
A groundbreaking architecture: volumes pushed forward, a sleek silhouette that glides over the waves, and an 85-square-meter aft deck unfolding across three levels. This is where poetry meets power.
Smooth curves, sharp lines, and refined detailing. Measuring 33.5 meters, this sporty yacht features a planing hull with spray rails and a shallow draft of just 1.35 meters. With striking design, impressive performance, and an 85 sqm aft deck, it offers top-tier comfort and possibility.
Elegant Functionality
The streamlined profile is achieved by shifting the superstructure volumes forward, resulting in a highly livable aft area. All technical and functional elements are seamlessly integrated into the yacht’s overall geometry.
The Space for Relaxation
The 85-sqm aft area is the heart of life on board- playful and generous. It unfolds over three descending levels toward the sea, including: a beach zone with a large sunpad and transformer platform; a lounge area with face-to-face sofas and folding bulwarks that extend the beam to 9 meters.
Impressive Volumes
A wider hull compared to others in its class ensures an unparalleled onboard experience.
The interior layout is designed to let you embrace the sea from every angle. Clean lines, premium materials, and clever design solutions amplify natural light and spatial openness. Each cabin ensures maximum privacy and comfort for a luxurious onboard lifestyle without compromise.
The EXTRA Yachts line stands out for its unique combination of exclusive qualities, which create a distinctive yachting experience and introducing a new philosophy of “going out to sea”.
Each yacht reflects a desire for harmony with the sea, offering complete customization options, exceptional comfort while cruising thanks to great seaworthiness, and reduced noise levels.
Every yacht is designed to achieve low fuel consumption, promoting environmental sustainability while ensuring long-range cruising capabilities.
Their greater beam compared to yachts of similar size sets a new volume’s standard in the segment, especially in the bridge and salon areas. The EXTRA Yachts range includes three distinct lines (FAST, TRIPLEX, and GLOBAL) ranging from 56 to 130 feet.
The models are built using composite materials reinforced with carbon fiber or aluminum.
Palumbo Superyachts began to take root in 2008, when the Columbus Yachts brand was established, and in 2011 launched its first 54 metre superyacht, emblematically christened “Prima” (“the First”). Today, Palumbo Superyachts is a key global market player in the construction of yachts and superyachts
made in composite and metal.
Palumbo Superyachts comprises 2 shipyards in the Mediterranean (Ancona and Savona) operating under just as many world-renowned brand names: ISA Yachts, Columbus Yachts, Mondomarine and Extra Yachts.
