Italian yard Extra Yachts, a brand of Palumbo Superyachts, has unveiled the X130 Triplex, the new flagship model in its Triplex line at 39.6 metres. The yacht follows in the footsteps of the X100 Triplex, which was introduced just last year and has already sold three units to date.
Long-standing collaborator Studio Agon is behind the exterior design of the all-aluminium build, with the Italian designer opting for "soft lines and bold geometry" that stays true to the yard's DNA. At the heart of this design is the mezzanine deck, which, raised just 90 centimetres above the main deck, offers an unobstructed view aft and two twin lounge areas, separated by a sculptural fireplace.
Accommodation is across nine cabins (5 guest cabins sleeping 12 & 4 crew cabins sleeping 7), including four double cabins with en suites, two VIP cabins with double beds and two twin cabins below deck. The main-deck owner's cabin has access to an office, vanity, en suite and large walk-in wardrobe, though an optional configuration that dedicates the entire upper deck to the owner is also available. Interiors are owed to Laura Brocchini Design, characterised by champagne and cream tones, marble detailing and warm lighting.
Interior convivial areas include the main saloon, arranged with two semicircular sofas and formal dining for 10 guests, and the skylounge with its lounge and bar. The sundeck is a major social hub, with guests able to enjoy a panoramic front lounge, an al fresco dining area, a large bar counter and two sunloungers that frame a sea-facing infinity pool. A more private set-up, complete with sofa seating, can be found in the upper deck cockpit.
The model's propulsion system relies on two 2,000hp MAN engines, which is expected to achieve a 16-knot top speed and a cruising speed of 14 knots.
Other key specs include a beam of 8.4 metres and a gross tonnage of 397GT.
Beyond the Horizon
Born from innovation and luxury, the X130 Triplex is much more than a yacht- it’s a true experience of freedom that invites you to chase the horizon and go beyond it.
Forty meters of wonder designed by Studio Agon and Extra Yachts: a 30 sqm mezzanine deck, a 60 sqm beach club, and a dual master suite configuration. A tribute to boundless cruising.
Redefines the standards of spaciousness, with a layout designed for unprecedented comfort. Softer exterior lines with bold geometry maintain the
spirit and DNA of the Triplex line. The hull and superstructure are made of aluminum; the yacht measures 40 meters in length, with a maximum beam
of 8.4 meters and a gross tonnage of 397 GT.
Mezzanine Innovation
The mezzanine deck is the project’s signature feature- nearly 30 sqm in size and raised just 90 cm above the main deck to preserve open views.
Adjacent lounge areas separated by a scenic fireplace offer a unique onboard experience.
Beach Club Philosophy
An open-air beach club beneath the mezzanine, featuring fold-down side and aft platforms that create a 60 sqm space just 60 cm above the water. It includes a day head, separate shower, and direct access to the tender garage.
The Owner's Suite is a luxury you can choose.
The layout offers two options: a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck, or a private upper deck entirely dedicated to the owner. The main deck includes a spacious lounge area, galley, and a full owner’s suite. Below deck, four en-suite double cabins- two VIP and two twins- accommodate guests in style.
The EXTRA Yachts line stands out for its unique combination of exclusive qualities, which create a distinctive yachting experience and introducing a new philosophy of “going out to sea”.
Each yacht reflects a desire for harmony with the sea, offering complete customization options, exceptional comfort while cruising thanks to great seaworthiness, and reduced noise levels.
Every yacht is designed to achieve low fuel consumption, promoting environmental sustainability while ensuring long-range cruising capabilities.
Their greater beam compared to yachts of similar size sets a new volume’s standard in the segment, especially in the bridge and salon areas. The EXTRA Yachts range includes three distinct lines (FAST, TRIPLEX, and GLOBAL) ranging from 56 to 130 feet.
The models are built using composite materials reinforced with carbon fiber or aluminum.
Palumbo Superyachts began to take root in 2008, when the Columbus Yachts brand was established, and in 2011 launched its first 54 metre superyacht, emblematically christened “Prima” (“the First”). Today, Palumbo Superyachts is a key global market player in the construction of yachts and superyachts
made in composite and metal.
Palumbo Superyachts comprises 2 shipyards in the Mediterranean (Ancona and Savona) operating under just as many world-renowned brand names: ISA Yachts, Columbus Yachts, Mondomarine and Extra Yachts.
