Xpd 95 Yacht | 98' Antonini Navi 2028

The XPD 95 is an absolute beast of an explorer for her size where she hits well above her weight. At only 30 meters and 199 gross tons, she has a 4,000nm range a 8.5 knots - a top speed of 12 knots and is built to commercial class & MCA compliant. She sleeps 8 guests in 4 cabins with 3 spacious cabins located on the lower level while the owner has a private deck on the upper level complete with exterior deck. Crew accommodations for 3-4 with the captain located forward on the main deck.

Remember this is a 199 gross ton vessel so extremely capable for her size range with the ability to carry a substantial tender, cruise the world due to the well laid out machine spaces with expansive cold storage for long passages and autonomous cruising. Bahamas draft of 6'8"

Hull #1 has been sold and is currently under construction being delivered in 2027, while hull #2 is available for immediate purchase with a 24 month delivery period.

The Xpd 95

XPD evokes the world of “expedition”: exploration, operational autonomy, robustness and a true shipboard ethos. XPD95 is born from a series of precise design choices. The objective is not to increase the number of spaces, but to make the most of every area capable of generating maximum value for the owner, guests and crew.

This design approach has resulted in a multifunctional stern area, capable of accommodating the tender while underway and transforming into a “beach area”; a true owner’s apartment on the Upper Deck, complete with a private terrace; a spacious forward living area, conceived as an alternative to the traditional Sun Deck; and unusually generous crew areas for a yacht of this size. All while deliberately keeping the gross tonnage below 199 GT.

XPD95 adopts the language and certain design principles of expedition vessels: metal construction, robustness, practicality, visibility and ease of maintenance. However, these principles are organised around predominantly Mediterranean use. The result is a displacement yacht designed to operate reliably every day and to support extended stays on board, without overdimensioning management requirements or crew.

The stern integrates two functions that are normally in competition on yachts under 30 metres. While underway, the approximately 35 m² (377 sq ft) platform accommodates a tender of approximately 5 metres, while keeping the side passages and the outermost area accessible.

Once the tender has been launched, the entire surface becomes a terrace over the water, configurable with loose furniture and water toys. The transformer supports launching and recovery and expands access to the sea, becoming an integral part of the beach area. This is where the design breakthrough lies: an expedition concept with a motor yacht-style Mediterranean beach area stern solution. A single space therefore meets both operational requirements while underway and recreational needs at anchor, without requiring a dedicated enclosed garage.

The Upper Deck is designed as an independent owner’s apartment, with approximately 25 m² (269 sq ft) of interior space, in addition to an integrated private terrace of approximately 35 m² (377 sq ft). This is an uncommon solution on the market within this size range. The value of the solution is not only in its size. Interior and exterior form part of the same environment, allowing the owner to spend a significant part of the day without using the common areas: sleeping, having breakfast, reading, working, relaxing or spending time outdoors while maintaining a level of privacy normally associated with larger-category yachts.

The position on the Upper Deck physically separates the owner’s area from the main guest circulation flows. The private terrace extends the suite without exposing it to the yacht’s communal life. The decision not to include a Sun Deck completes this philosophy: above the owner’s cabin there are no guest areas, continuous passageways, furniture movements or outdoor activities. The owner truly occupies the highest level of the vessel, with no one walking above the owner’s cabin.

On a yacht under 30 metres, the Sun Deck does not necessarily represent the most functional outdoor space. Its absence simplifies day-to-day onboard operations, eliminating an additional area to furnish, service, clean and maintain, while also reducing the crew’s vertical movements.

Concentrating the outdoor areas on the main decks makes service faster and more efficient, while allowing every available space to be used to its full potential. The absence of a hardtop and furniture on the uppermost deck also reduces weight aloft and the lateral surface exposed to the wind, contributing to a lower profile, a lower centre of gravity and reduced sensitivity to crosswinds during low-speed manoeuvres.

The foredeck is configured as a true outdoor living area of approximately 30 m² (323 sq ft), with sofas, tables and sun loungers. Access is from the portside side deck via a structural staircase integrated into the hull, with wide steps and deep treads. The route is direct and can be used safely by both guests and crew.

The foredeck thus becomes the yacht’s second major outdoor area: suitable for cocktails, relaxation and cruising, while offering greater privacy duringtypical Mediterranean stern-to mooring. XPD95 is developed with the design objective of keeping the gross tonnage within 199 GT. This threshold is considered together
with the layout, systems automation and service organisation, with the aim of enabling efficient private operation with a reduced crew complement.

Sculli & Covini translate the project requirements into a silhouette defined by progressive volumes: a high and full bow, a compact superstructure, a horizontal profile and a fully open stern. The design uses a limited number of clearly defined elements: the wheelhouse glazing band, control wings, taut side surfaces and technical stainless steel details, coordinated within a coherent architecture. The identity derives from proportions and the integration of function, rather than from applied decorative elements.

Hot Lab: Visual Continuity & Funaction Before Decoration

Hot Lab’s work is developed in coordination with the architecture and layout, maintaining consistency between volumes, glazing, fixed furniture and circulation routes. The design prioritises bright, welcoming and contemporary spaces, with soft and flowing geometries. Low furniture preserves the continuity of the glazing

and the connection with the exterior; full-height elements are concentrated where they serve a specific function. The decks follow geometric patterns that accompany the longitudinal development of the spaces. The lighting combines focused spotlights with indirect light integrated into ceilings, panelling and furniture bases, highlighting the volumes without overloading them.
