ABOUT JUDY

Judy brings a lifetime of yachting experience to Denison, which includes cruising much of the world primarily as the owner of large motorsailers. Leaning on her college degrees, business experience, and a love of the cruising lifestyle, Judy began her career as a yacht broker in the late '90s.

In addition to owning boats ranging from center consoles to 100’ sailboats, Judy has sold more than 200 yachts during her career and offers clients extensive sea trial as well as survey knowledge. She started out working for prestigious yacht firms such as Richard Bertram and other smaller brokerage companies before opening her own yacht brokerage, which, over the course of 18-plus years, established an international reputation and cemented Judy as an expert in trawlers and expedition vessels with a subspecialty in steel yachts.

Her experience and integrity have not only endeared her to repeat clients, but to builders as well. Judy currently is the agent for Bering Yachts, Cape Horn Trawlers, Kanter Yachts, Sea Spirit Yachts and has a long history of representing Dutch, Canadian, and American builders, both in new build and resale vessels. Her eagerness to share her knowledge has resulted in numerous speaking engagements at yachting events and cruising rendezvous.

Additionally, she has established a reputation as a critical writer for yacht reviews. Judy has written about vessels ranging in size from the Elling 49 to Lürssen’s 312’ KISMET, and won Boating Writers International 2nd place award for her review of the Moonen 100 Explorer. Her personal goal is to educate buyers, highlighting all elements of each vessel and each manufacturer, so that they can make an educated decision that will hopefully help them add owner longevity to their cruising goals.

Judy’s experience with sportfish, sailboats, trawlers, motoryachts, and megayachts assures her clients a well-rounded, professionalism that applies to all classes of the yachting lifestyle. Whether building or buying, Judy can help throughout negotiations, offering everything from objective surveying to aftermarket assistance. Give Judy a call and let her know how she can help you find your next yacht.
