Description

Alpha Custom Yachts has lifted the lid on its SQUALO design, a 29.6 meter semi-custom model that takes its name from the Italian word for ‘shark’.

With a wide beam of 7.6 metres and a draft of just under two metres, SQUALO is designed with the modern yacht owner in mind. Two units are currently in production, with delivery slated for 2023 and 2024.

The model’s interior and exterior styling comes from Italian design studio Roberto Curtó, and its bold profile is characterised by muscular lines and a strong silhouette with a vertical bow and a high pilothouse.

SQUALO also offers scope for customisation, with at least three different flybridge and main deck configurations to suit the needs of all owners.

The aft deck is the key focal point of the design, with a plunge pool sitting above a toy garage. It’s adjoined by an open deck area with seating and shaded dining.

There is an alternative lounge area on the deck above, where the pilothouse is connected to a generous open area that provides over 990 square metres of living space.

Accommodation can be provided for between eight to ten guests depending on the configuration chosen by the buyer. A master cabin sits on the main deck forward and there are two cabin configurations on offer on the lower deck.

The design has recently been shortlisted for two awards at the design et al awards in the Concept Under 40 Metres and the Interior Design - Yacht Concept award.
