Outstanding craftmanship has created a worthy and modern 2011 version of John G, Alden's Malabar II schooner design. Built in Suriname and updated in 2018 to accommodate better cabin headroom, layout and newly revised teak decking at Gannon and Benjamin Boatyard on Martha's Vineyard. This is a strong, comfortable classically styled schooner of recent construction.
Beautiful lines, well proportioned. Clearly a good looking boat with real character. Structurally and cosmetically in "nearly new condition." surveyor reports. Unique opportunity.
Catch the rapture and exhilaration of sailing a (recently built) wooden yacht.
Updated sails and electronics. Cummins B3.3M diesel 65 HP engine with only 700 hours. Please see details below. New teak decks with rubber barrier underlayment installed in 2018, together with trunk cabin house extended forward to accommodate better cabin layout and headroom.
Great opportunity- please call for details.

Surveyor reports April 2023;
"I find this vessel to be in very good structural, mechanical and cosmetic condition. If this vessel is given proper care and maintenance in the future, as it has in the past, it should provide many more years of service. The boat has recently undergone a major refit of systems, finishes and interior including a new laid teak deck over the winter/spring/summer of 2017/2018 at the Gannon and Benjamin Boatyard in Vineyard Haven, MA. The boat is very close to new construction in every respect."
