CONSTRUCTION:
DualGuard® hull construction, a SCRIMPed composite of Eglass/Kevlar and carbon fiber to yield a vacuum infused hull of incredible strength, stiffness, and impact resistance.
The hull is laid up with a 4" recessed flange to receive the deck which is bonded to this surface with a reinforced polyester adhesive and thru-bolted on 8' centers with additional fastenings in the area of toe rail tracks, thus assuring a strong, permanent and watertight hull/deck joint.
The aft T-shaped cockpit features a teak-capped coaming, which widens near the wheel to provide comfortable outboard seating for the helmsman. The water-sealed cockpit seats include molded nonskid surfaces for safety. The cockpit is equipped with a teak sole and drain scuppers for effective water drainage. To port, a sail and equipment locker includes a stainless steel line rack. A dedicated propane locker with a vent is also integrated. Additionally, the coaming houses four stainless steel-trimmed winch pockets for convenient operation.
Helm Area:
The pedestal wheel steering system features a 40-inch stainless steel destroyer-style wheel with an elk-hide-covered rim, a stainless steel guardrail, and engine controls. It includes a watertight 12-volt outlet, a stainless steel-housed 6-inch binnacle compass, and a binnacle guard. A custom teak helm step is recessed when not in use for added convenience. Engine instruments and switches are recessed in easily accessible positions for the helmsman, along with a single-lever throttle and transmission control. Sailing instruments are mounted above the companionway and custom-fitted on the pedestal. A custom bow thruster joystick is conveniently located at the helm.
