This Symbol 55 Pilothouse offers a truly open no-bulkhead design between the pilothouse & saloon which creates a beautiful great-room style living space. The satin finished maple cabinetry, combined with the large windows along with the light ceiling panels and soft-goods adds to the yacht open, bright interior styling. Accommodations include three staterooms and two heads with stall showers.
In 2013 the owners upgraded the yachts propulsion power to John Deere mdl-6068 300HP diesel engines, coupled to new ZF transmissions. This is a significant power improvement as John Deere engines are known for their dependability and long engine hour capacity.

Salon
The design of the main salon takes the open concept design to the extreme by completely opening the space between the salon and pilothouse creating a very large great room. Salon features include handcrafted maple cabinetry, large opening windows, carpeted flooring, entertainment center with ice maker & granite countertop, flat panel TV, L-shaped sofa with high-low maple & glass coffee table, barrel chair, maple storage cabinet with tambour sliding doors and diesel heat.
Foyer
Accessing the foyer is easy via the stairway located on the forward starboard side of the pilothouse. The foyer offers carpeted flooring, access hatches to bilge storage and a utility closet that houses the updated GE separate stacked washer and dryer.
Owner's midships suite
The owner's suite features include a walk-around queen island bed with built-in storage, mirrored bulkhead, headboard reading lights nightstands with drawer & cabinet storage, carpeted flooring, port side settee, hanging locker, diesel heat, opening stainless-steel portlights and an ensuite head with stall shower.
Owner's ensuite head
The head features include maple wood vanity with granite countertops & under mount sink, Vacuflush toilet, mirrored medicine cabinet doors, opening stainless-steel portlight and a stall shower.
Guest stateroom
The guest stateroom offers stacked single beds, headboard area reading lights, drawer storage, opening stainless-steel portlight, carpeted flooring and hanging locker.
VIP stateroom
The VIP stateroom feature includes a queen island bed with a mirrored headboard, wraparound bed shelving storage drawers, hanging locker, skylight, opening stainless-steel portlights and ensuite access to the guest head.
Guest head
The guest head features a maple wood vanity with granite countertop, opening stainless-steel portlight, drawer & cabinet storage and a stall shower.
The galley is located in the forward port side of the main salon. The galley's U-shaped design offers plenty of food preparation space, and abundant storage. Features include granite countertops, dual stainless-steel sinks, large opening window with screen, maple flooring, updated galley appliances with refrigerator & freezer, 4-burner ceramic induction cooktop, electric oven and a dishwasher. The galley also features a side table, located on the starboard side of the salon across from the galley. The side table serves not only as additional storage for galley but as the salon's beverage center. Features include granite countertop, drawer, cabinet & beverage bottle storage, GFCI protected 120VAC outlet and an ice maker.

Electrical power for "Sea Drifter" is via the 240/120VAC shower power, the two Xantrex 3000w inverter/chargers, Northern Lights 12kw generator and the yachts DC battery system. All power is managed through the AC/DC power distribution panels located in the pilothouse as well as the main DC battery switch panel.
Propulsion power is supplied by twin John Deere 6068 SFM 50 300BHP diesel engines, couple to ZF transmission. The engines and transmission were installed in 2013, this is a significant upgrade to the yacht, providing modern engine technology and reliable power.
The Symbol 55 engine room and lazarette were designed to offer ease of access to the equipment houses in the spaces as well as abundant storage capacity.

Pilothouse helm
The pilothouse helm offers the helmsperson excellent visibility whether looking forward or aft, thanks in part to the very open concept salon-pilothouse design. It's also worth noting that it's easy to access the side decks thanks to the starboard sliding pilothouse deck access door.
The helm console was designed to provide ease of access to the main engine, steering system & switch controls, along with the navigational equipment and nav remote controls. The helm offers a captain's chair and a large raised U-shaped cruising settee & table.

Flybridge helm
The enclosed flybridge offers a centered helm with helm chair and cruising settee. Helm area features include two refrigerator/freezers, a beverage bar with refrigerator, sink & hot/cold water.
Fuel
The fuel system consists of two 425-gallon saddle tanks with a cross-feed line the keeps the tanks level balance. The tanks feed Racor fuel/water separator filters that help provide clean fuel to the engines and generator. There is a fuel supply and return manifolds that allow for fuel management.
Water
The water system consists of two 130-gallon stainless-steel saddle tanks with a cross-feed line the keeps the tanks level balance. the yacht is equipped with a 50GPH water maker
Waste system
The waste system consists of a 80-gallon tank, with the ability to empty the tank via a deck waste discharge fitting and the macerator system that allows the waste to be pumped through a hull thru-hull fitting.

The S55 Pilothouse is an easy and safe yacht to navigate when you need to move fore-to-aft, deck to bridge and bridge to the pilothouse. This is thanks to the smart design of wide side decks with high stainless-steel safety railing, aft cockpit & pilothouse ladders/stairs to the flybridge. Also getting aboard the yacht from the dock is easy with the deep swim platform and the large transom door leading to the cockpit.
Foredeck
Side decks
Getting around the port & starboard side decks like the rest of the S55P is easy with wide non-skid decking, waist high stainless-steel safety railing and specially placed horizontal handrails alongside the deckhouse. Also getting to the side decks from the pilothouse is simple with the starboard side sliding access door.
Cockpit Transom
The cockpit features include a large transom cockpit door, dual lazarette access hatches, factory live bait well, flybridge access ladder, sliding salon door and a large engine room access door.
Note: The owners removed the hatches and hull side rub rails and resealed them to eliminate chance of water intrusion from these areas.
