VIVERE is a 2011 Southerly 57RS Raised Saloon Cutter, designed by renowned naval architect Ed Dubois and built by Northshore Yachts in the UK. As the flagship of the Southerly variable-draft range, the 57RS was conceived to combine true ocean-crossing capability, shallow-water freedom, elegant raised-saloon living, and sophisticated shorthanded sailing systems—all with the feel and finish of a much larger yacht.
The design brief is immediately apparent: VIVERE was built for owners who want to sail far, live aboard in first-class surroundings, and explore anchorages that most yachts of this size can only dream of reaching.
Her hydraulic swing keel gives her an extraordinary 4' draft with the keel raised and 10'9" fully deployed, allowing her to move effortlessly between shoal-water cruising and serious offshore sailing. With the keel down, she gains the lateral resistance, stability, and windward performance expected of a deep-draft ocean-going yacht. With the keel raised, she can access shallow anchorages, rivers, bays, and tucked-away harbors far beyond the reach of most 57-foot yachts.
Twin rudders, a long waterline, fine entry, beam carried well aft, and a substantial grounding plate contribute to a yacht that is remarkably stable offshore, easy to manage, and unusually versatile for her length. ON DECK

Inside, VIVERE's Raised Saloon is stunning—bright, spacious, and commanding. Dubois' signature teardrop windows flood the interior with natural light while providing extraordinary visibility from the elevated living areas.
The interior, styled by Rhoades Young, combines Crown Cut teak joinery with leather and stainless-steel accents to create an atmosphere that feels much more like a superyacht than a conventional semi-custom cruising yacht.

VIVERE’s interior is one of the defining features of the Southerly 57RS. Styled by Rhoades Young, the yacht uses Crown Cut teak joinery, refined stainless and leather accents, sculpted handrails, raised seating, and excellent natural light to create an atmosphere that is warm, substantial, and unmistakably premium. The Raised Saloon layout places the primary living and watchkeeping areas where they belong on an offshore cruising yacht: elevated, secure, connected to the cockpit, and surrounded by visibility.
The interior flow is practical for extended time aboard. From the aft cockpit, the companionway leads into the Raised Saloon with a dining area to port, twin leather lounge chairs to starboard, and the navigation station aft to port. Forward of the saloon, the galley and chef’s nook form a functional living and working area that remains connected to the social center of the yacht. The full-beam owner’s stateroom is forward, with a centerline queen berth, office/vanity space, excellent storage, and an en-suite head with separate shower. MAIN SALOON
The Raised Saloon is the heart of VIVERE. Dubois’ distinctive teardrop windows fill the space with natural light, while the elevated seating position gives the dining and lounge areas an extraordinary connection to the water. The dining area is positioned to port, while twin leather chairs to starboard create a comfortable watchkeeping and relaxation area with the kind of visibility that traditional low saloon layouts cannot match.
MASTER STATEROOM
The forward owner’s suite is spacious, private, and well suited to long-range cruising. The full-beam layout includes a centerline queen berth with two-step walkaround access, vanity/desk area, abundant lockers and drawers, and large hull lights. The cabin feels calm, open, and genuinely livable rather than simply fitted into the bow.
Master Head
The en-suite master head is finished in teak and Corian and includes a generous separate shower. The arrangement gives the owner’s suite a true private forward apartment feel, appropriate for extended time aboard.
VIP STATEROOM
The aft VIP stateroom is located three steps down aft and to starboard of the Raised Saloon. It provides a comfortable double berth, large hull portlights, and good privacy from the owner’s suite forward.
VIP Head
The guest/day head serves the aft staterooms and includes a separate stall shower. The concealed Splendide washer/dryer is located in the aft shower area, keeping laundry equipment accessible but out of the main living spaces.
GUEST CABIN (PORT)
The port aft guest cabin is arranged with over/under berths and can serve as a guest cabin, crew cabin, workshop, storage room, or oversized walk-in locker depending on the owner’s cruising plans.
The galley is positioned forward of the Raised Saloon and is designed for serious time aboard. Corian counters, stainless appliances, keel-cooled refrigeration, wine storage, and generous cabinetry make the space practical underway and comfortable at anchor. Across from the galley, the chef’s nook seats two around a built-in desk/breakfast-bar arrangement with additional storage and excellent natural light.
NAVIGATION STATION
The navigation station is located aft to port within the Raised Saloon, just inboard of the companionway. This elevated position gives the navigator visibility, immediate access to the cockpit, and a central location for system monitoring, communications, and electrical control. The leather swivel navigation seat includes fold-down armrests and places the navigator in front of three panels of instrumentation.

The swing keel is the headline feature, but it is not a gimmick. Keel down, VIVERE has the bite, righting moment, and windward ability expected of a serious offshore yacht. Keel up, she opens up shallow anchorages, rivers, Bahamas-style cruising grounds, and tucked-away harbors that most 57-foot yachts simply cannot reach. Her ability to safely take the ground on the keel pad and twin rudders further expands her cruising possibilities and makes her a uniquely practical long-distance yacht.
