VIVERE is a 2011 Southerly 57RS Raised Saloon cutter designed by Ed Dubois and built by Northshore Yachts in the United Kingdom. VIVERE’s interior is one of the defining features of the Southerly 57RS. Styled by Rhoades Young, the yacht uses Crown Cut teak joinery, refined stainless and leather accents, sculpted handrails, raised seating, and excellent natural light to create an atmosphere that is warm, substantial, and unmistakably premium. The Raised Saloon layout places the primary living and watchkeeping areas where they belong on an offshore cruising yacht: elevated, secure, connected to the cockpit, and surrounded by visibility.
The interior flow is practical for extended time aboard. From the aft cockpit, the companionway leads into the Raised Saloon with a dining area to port, twin leather lounge chairs to starboard, and the navigation station aft to port. Forward of the saloon, the galley and chef’s nook form a functional living and working area that remains connected to the social center of the yacht. MAIN SALOON
The Raised Saloon is the heart of VIVERE. The guest/day head serves the aft staterooms and includes a separate stall shower. The concealed Splendide washer/dryer is located in the aft shower area, keeping laundry equipment accessible but out of the main living spaces.

The port aft guest cabin is arranged with over/under berths and can serve as a guest cabin, crew cabin, workshop, storage room, or oversized walk-in locker depending on the owner’s cruising plans.
The galley is positioned forward of the Raised Saloon and is designed for serious time aboard. Corian counters, stainless appliances, keel-cooled refrigeration, wine storage, and generous cabinetry make the space practical underway and comfortable at anchor. Across from the galley, the chef’s nook seats two around a built-in desk/breakfast-bar arrangement with additional storage and excellent natural light.
NAVIGATION STATION
The navigation station is located aft to port within the Raised Saloon, just inboard of the companionway. This elevated position gives the navigator visibility, immediate access to the cockpit, and a central location for system monitoring, communications, and electrical control. The leather swivel navigation seat includes fold-down armrests and places the navigator in front of three panels of instrumentation.

VIVERE carries a substantial B&G-based navigation package with updated multifunction displays, redundant helm instrumentation, autopilot controls, VHF communications, AIS, and NMEA 2000 integration. The suite is well matched to the yacht’s offshore purpose and shorthanded sailing design.

The swing keel is the headline feature, but it is not a gimmick. Keel down, VIVERE has the bite, righting moment, and windward ability expected of a serious offshore yacht. Keel up, she opens up shallow anchorages, rivers, Bahamas-style cruising grounds, and tucked-away harbors that most 57-foot yachts simply cannot reach. Her ability to safely take the ground on the keel pad and twin rudders further expands her cruising possibilities and makes her a uniquely practical long-distance yacht.
