Timeless Seas Boat | 58' Symbol 2010

Symbol Classic Pilothouse 58

Timeless Seas is an exceptional example of the highly regarded Symbol Classic Pilothouse 58, combining elegant traditional lines, exceptional build quality, long-range cruising capability, and an extraordinary standard of care.

From the beginning, this yacht has benefited from knowledgeable ownership. Her first owner specified numerous significant upgrades during construction, while her second owner, a precision engineer with an uncompromising approach to maintenance and detail, continued to improve, maintain, and refine the vessel to an exceptional standard. The current owner has followed along in the tradition. Multiple large upgrades have been applied to Timeless Seas, including a full enclosure for both the aft deck and fly bridge, all new through-hulls, new fuel lines and racors filters, new engine hoses, a fully custom storage and cut-table on the aft deck, LED lights for navigation at night and large Garmin touch screen displays on both the flybridge and pilothouse. Additionally, trolling valves were installed on both engines to ensure easy fishing in any conditions.

The result is a truly turn-key yacht that presents in remarkable condition. Timeless Seas has been meticulously maintained, kept in a boathouse for most of its life, and operated with an attention to detail rarely seen aboard a vessel of this age. The engine room is immaculate, the systems have been carefully maintained, and the overall presentation is more reminiscent of a much newer yacht.

Her efficient hull, designed by renowned naval architect Jack W. Sarin, N.A., delivers impressive range and economy. At approximately 9.5 knots, Timeless Seas burns less than 10 gallons per hour, making her an exceptionally economical long-range cruiser. When conditions or itinerary call for greater speed, she will cruise comfortably at approximately 13 knots.

For those looking for a beautifully maintained, exceptionally equipped, long-range motor yacht with classic styling and serious cruising credentials, Timeless Seas deserves close consideration.

A beautiful bird's-eye maple coffee table incorporates a clever lift mechanism, converting into a full dining table when required.

Pilothouse

The pilothouse is the heart of Timeless Seas and a defining feature of this model.

Raised above the salon, it provides an outstanding commanding view and is exceptionally well suited to serious navigation and extended cruising. A premium, fully adjustable helm chair provides excellent comfort for long passages.

Port and starboard weathertight doors provide convenient access to the side decks for docking and line handling. A corded remote control allows the skipper to maneuver the vessel from the side decks when operating in close quarters.

Forward, the Portuguese bridge provides additional seating and an exceptional vantage point while underway. The Portuguese bridge was lowered by 4'' as a factory option to allow for better sight lines from the helm chair.

The pilothouse also incorporates an informal dining area adjacent to the galley, making this an ideal gathering space whether cruising, entertaining, or simply enjoying the view.

It features built-in seating, two raised and adjustable helm chairs, a dedicated sun lounge, and a spacious boat deck. • A G380 Grand Dinghy centre console dinghy powered by a 40hp Yamaha outboard (145 engine hours)
Mechanical, Propulsion And Electrical

Timeless Seas is powered by twin Cummins QSC 8.3 engines, producing 500 hp each, coupled to ZF 305-2A gearboxes. The engines feature electronic fuel injection and are controlled from both helm stations using Glendinning EEC3 electronic engine controls. Additionally, trolling valves were installed on both engines to ensure easy fishing in any condition.

The vessel is also equipped with joystick/jog control.

  • A 16 kW Northern Lights generator is installed in a soundproof enclosure and has only 1,543 hours.
  • Propulsion is through Nibral four-blade 37 x 29 propellers and ZF 2¾-inch propeller shafts. PSS water-cooled dripless shaft seals provide reliable and clean shaft sealing.
  • A watertight engine-room door with port provides secure access to the machinery space. The engine room is protected by a Fireboy fire-suppression system with both automatic and manual activation.
  • Naiad 252 roll stabilizers provide improved comfort and stability underway, particularly in challenging sea conditions.
  • Polished stainless-steel engine mounts complement the exceptionally clean engine-room installation.
  • Bilge areas are finished in smooth white epoxy for easy inspection and cleaning.
  • Fibreglass mufflers are fitted to both the main engines and generator, while underwater exhausts contribute to quieter operation underway.
  • Fuel, water, and hydraulic lines are colour-coded and clearly labelled throughout the vessel.
  • Groco bonded-bronze seawater strainers provide robust and reliable protection for the vessel's seawater systems.
  • Brand new through-hull fittings throughout vessel.
  • All house batteries replaced in summer of 2025.
  • All starting batteries replaced in summer of 2025.
  • New ablative bottom paint and zincs in 2025.
Construction Notes

  • Solid hand-lamination is used below the waterline with no coring. Above the waterline, closed-cell, high-density foam is used as structural reinforcing and coring material, providing a quieter hull along with good insulation and temperature control.
  • Vinylester resin and thin mat tissue are hand-laid into the first few layers of the bottom to help prevent osmosis, and are also used on the sides to prevent glass-cloth texture from showing through the high-gloss topsides.
  • Full-length longitudinal engine stringers and athwartship stringers provide additional structural strength, while glass-fibre reinforced “I” beams support the interior decks. The hull and deck are laminated together to form a single, homogeneous monolithic structure.
  • The main hull chines are rounded to quiet wavelet action, provide initial stability, and minimize spray. Upper chine strakes prevent water from running up the hull, resulting in drier decks.
  • Composite-clad aluminium fuel tanks provide reduced maintenance requirements and contribute to long-term value.
  • All deck fittings and rails are constructed from 316 stainless steel. The outer handrails were upgraded at the factory to an oval cross-section in place of the usual round-pipe profile.
  • Tinted tempered safety glass is used throughout the windows. The frameless window design provides a classic, timeless appearance with reduced maintenance and virtually eliminates concerns associated with leaking window frames.
  • Removable ceiling panels provide convenient access for maintenance. The salon has been re-insulated with Woolrite for cold climates.
  • The sanitation systems use high-end, odour-resistant hoses and fittings.
  • High-quality tinned electrical wire is used throughout the vessel, with each terminal labelled. AC and DC wiring are routed through separate conduit channels. Custom LED-backlit breaker panels are fitted with protective doors.
  • Wide covered side decks and the Portuguese bridge provide a safe 360-degree walkaround. Multiple boarding gates are provided at the port, starboard, and transom.
  • Port and starboard chain-locker hatches provide convenient access, while dedicated anchor and deck wash-down systems simplify cleaning and anchoring operations.
  • Central drainage manifolds on both port and starboard discharge at the transom waterline. Flush drains from the cockpit, main deck, and flybridge all discharge into the central drainage manifold, supplemented by multiple large rectangular scuppers and freeing ports for efficient drainage.
  • Additional safety rails on pilothouse coachroof to enable extra suntanning area.
  • Lowered profile on portuguese bridge for enhanced visual appearance.
  • Hull extended at factory to 58’ for extra rear cockpit space and improved performance.
