A Busy Third Quarter for Superyacht Sales
A total of 126 superyachts of 24 meters (79 feet) and larger sold worldwide in Q3 2026, according to BoatPRO, up 40% from 90 in Q3 2025 and 80% from 70 in Q3 2024. The third quarter was the slowest stretch of the brokerage year in both 2024 and 2025, as summer cruising takes owners and yachts off the market.
July led the quarter with 52 sales, compared with 32 in July 2025, which put it ahead of June's 51. Through September, 416 superyachts have sold in 2026, up 13% from 368 at the same point last year.
Disclosed asking prices across Q3 sales added up to about $1.02 billion, compared with roughly $829 million a year earlier. That total covers the 95 sales with a disclosed price and leaves out all 13 new-build contracts, none of which carried a published figure. The median price rose about 9%, from $5.1 million to $5.6 million.

Where the Growth Came From
Growth showed up at both ends of the size range. Sales of 24 to 30 meter yachts climbed from 33 to 49, while the 40 to 50 meter band nearly tripled, from 8 to 22. Yachts of 60 meters and up went from 6 sales to 11.
The 30 to 40 meter range grew more modestly, from 35 to 40 sales. The 50 to 60 meter band was the only one to decline, from 8 sales to 4, though at those counts a few deals either way can swing the comparison.
Buyers also leaned toward newer yachts. Among resales, the median age at the time of sale dropped from 14 years in Q3 2025 to 12 years, and 27 of the quarter's 113 resales were five years old or younger, up from 19.

Superyachts Sold Faster
The median Q3 sale spent 317 days on the market, down from 343 in Q3 2025 and 447 in Q3 2024. The average fell further over the same two years, from 640 days to 433, which suggests fewer yachts are sitting on the market for years before they sell.
Some of the quarter's larger deals moved quickly. NENINKA, the 67.6-meter Amels built in 2019 and last listed at €85 million, sold in 41 days.
New-Build Contracts Grew
Thirteen of the quarter's 126 sales were new-build contracts, about 10%, up from 6 in Q3 2025 and 1 in Q3 2024. Year to date, new builds account for 35 sales (8.4%), compared with 23 (6.3%) at this point last year.
Two of those contracts were for Lürssen yachts over 120 meters: PROJECT ELUSIVE, a 122.5-meter yacht due in 2030, and PROJECT M, which is set to measure more than 125 meters with delivery scheduled for 2032. An Amels 80 new build also sold during the quarter.
Builders to Watch
Sunseeker recorded 10 Q3 sales, up from one a year earlier, the most of any builder this quarter. Benetti followed with 9 and Custom Line with 8. Through September, Sanlorenzo leads all builders with 37 sales in 2026, up from 27 at the same point in 2025.

Denison Yachting in Q3 2026
Denison was involved in six Q3 sales, including the 151' Burger NADAN, the 142' Richmond LUCY, and the 109' Mangusta ARTEMIS. Across those six, the median time on market was 205 days, compared with 317 for the market overall. Current listings are on our superyachts for sale page.
What Q3 Could Mean for Q4
Q4 recorded 101 sales in 2024 and 121 in 2025, with December among the busiest months both years. BoatPRO now shows 489 superyacht sales for all of 2025, so 2026 would need about 74 more in Q4 to pass last year's total.
The rise in new-build contracts could also add inventory to the brokerage market over time, though 9 of this quarter's 13 contracts aren't due to deliver until 2028 or later.
*Figures reflect brokerage sales of yachts 24 meters (79 feet) and larger recorded in BoatPRO (BOAT International) as of October 20, 2026. Prices are disclosed asking prices, converted to U.S. dollars at monthly average exchange rates. Counts can rise as late sales are recorded, so earlier quarters may differ slightly from previously published Denison reports.*
