The Gunboat 68 is a 68 foot carbon fiber sailing catamaran built in La Grande-Motte, France, designed for owners who want race boat performance with real liveaboard comfort. Naval architecture is by VPLP, with exterior and interior design by Christophe Chedal Anglay and Patrick le Quément, pairing high performance multihull know-how with a clean, modern aesthetic.

With lightweight all-carbon composite construction, high aspect daggerboards, retractable rudders, and wave piercing bows, the 68 is engineered for fast offshore passages and responsive handling. The mast is set aft and the beam is generous, which increases righting moment for both speed and safety in bluewater conditions.

The standard Gunboat 68 is set up for shorthanded sailing, with sail controls led to protected helm positions and a deck layout that keeps maneuvers simple for a small crew. Inside, the 68 uses the full width of the platform for an open, bright salon that connects directly to the aft cockpit and forward working cockpit. Layouts are semi custom, typically offering four cabins with en suite heads and a mix of owner’s suite and guest cabins tailored to cruising or performance priorities.

The Gunboat 68 Series also includes the Gunboat 68 Voyager, which uses slightly larger hulls and expanded living areas for extended cruising while preserving the same performance DNA. The Voyager variant increases interior volume and cockpit space for long term life aboard but retains the carbon composite structure and sailing capability that define the brand.
