JULIETTE is a historically significant 73.5-foot gaff cutter built by Alexander Robertson & Sons in Scotland in 1929. Originally designed as G.L. Watson Office Design n° 505, this classic sailing yacht represents one of the last gaff cutters constructed in Scotland. With multiple name changes throughout her storied history—from Pretty Polly to Moonbeam Junior to Saracen—she has remained a competitive participant in international classic yacht racing.

The construction showcases exceptional craftsmanship with a single solid teak keel supporting 16 tons of lead ballast. Remarkably, the teak deck remains largely original after more than 90 years, fastened directly to the beams. The interior features varnished mahogany fittings restored to their original 1992 condition, accommodating six guests in three double cabins following the original layout.

Modern updates enhance both safety and performance. JULIETTE is equipped with Barient self-tailing winches, including three electric units for the mainsail and genoa. The mainsail, genoa, and staysail all feature furling systems for ease of handling. Ground tackle includes two 100-meter chains and a powerful 3500-watt Lofrans windlass. The Gardner 6-cylinder 10-liter auxiliary engine draws from a 400-liter fuel tank refurbished in 2020, while the stainless steel drive shaft with variable pitch propeller was replaced by Hundested in 2009.
