SEA ANGEL, an 88′ Stephens sailing yacht built in 1986, was sold by Chris Davis, who introduced the Buyer. John Osetek with David Walters Yachts represented the Seller.
SEA ANGEL is a Sparkman & Stephens design no. 2455, an aluminum deck saloon ketch built by Stephens Marine in California and currently located in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. She accommodates up to 12 guests across six cabins, including a full-beam master with a centerline queen berth and twin ensuite heads, additional guest cabins aft, crew accommodations forward with a dedicated crew mess, and a deck saloon finished in teak with expansive windows. Her 2011 rerig replaced the original stowaway rig with a Sparcraft aluminum mainmast and a custom James Betts carbon fiber pocket boom, supporting a fully battened sail inventory from Doyle that includes a main, 110% genoa, mizzen, staysail, and a 2021 spinnaker.
Her systems are built for extended offshore use. Power comes from a Mercedes OM422W diesel paired with a Hundested variable-pitch propeller, with a stated range under power of over 2,000 nautical miles. Key systems include a Sea Recovery watermaker at 1,200 gallons per day, dual generators, a 2019 isolation transformer, a Xantrex 4,000-watt inverter, a 60,000 BTU chilled water air system added in 2019, and updated Sea Frost and Isotherm refrigeration. Navigation electronics include a 2017 Simrad wheelhouse suite, Icom SSB, Furuno Wi-Fi radar, B&G instrumentation, and Raymarine wind/speed/depth gear, all added or updated between 2017 and 2021. Deck gear includes a Richfield 50 hp bow thruster, hydraulic windlass, 180 lb. CQR anchor with 610 feet of chain, and refurbished teak decks with a new epoxy barrier coat and bottom paint completed in July 2023.

GENESIS was located in Portsmouth, RI at the time of the sale.
