Denison’s Alex G. Clarke Completes Inaugural IRONMAN Jacksonville

Denison Yachting superyacht broker Alex G. Clarke added a new title to his resume on Saturday, May 16th, 2026: IRONMAN. Clarke crossed the finish line at the inaugural IRONMAN Jacksonville, completing the full 140.6-mile race that spanned a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike, and a 26.2-mile run under punishing Florida heat.

A Race Built for Grit

Jacksonville’s debut on the IRONMAN calendar was anything but easy. Clarke turned in a strong 1-hour, 8-minute swim on the 2.4-mile course, but conditions on the bike deteriorated quickly. Temperatures crept toward 100 degrees with a sustained 10 to 15 mph headwind, compounding an already demanding ride. Nutrition caught up with him on the back half of the marathon, and with roughly seven miles remaining he found himself digging deeper than planned.

He finished anyway.

“Proud of myself for finding a way to finish even after the wheels came off on the back end of the marathon,” Clarke shared after the race. “These events bring out so many emotions. It’s hard to explain.”

A Personal Journey, Years in the Making

For Clarke, the finish line in Jacksonville represented more than a single day of racing. He began training for endurance events several years ago as a deliberate effort to grow personally and professionally. Completing a full IRONMAN was the culmination of that commitment.

Clarke credited his wife, Natalia, for her support throughout the journey. “You are my WHY,” he wrote after the race, also sending a message to their children, Kacper and Anastasia.

Outside of the water and the road, Clarke is one of the most decorated superyacht brokers in the industry. He co-founded Denison’s superyacht division and brings more than 15 years of specialized experience to his clients, with particular expertise in Turkish new construction.
