Columbus Yachts & Sergio Cutolo Successfully Launch Hybrid Superyacht

Columbus Yachts (a brand of the Palumbo Group) announced the successful launch of the all-aluminium 40-meter semi-displacement superyacht Columbus 40M Sport Hybrid. Designed by Sergio Cutolo of Hydro Tec Naval Architecture, the aluminum displacement superyacht measures 40 meters and has a beam of 8.20 meters.

This first hull in the Columbus 40M Sport Hybrid series, is listed for sale with SuperYachtsLondon, and will be attending the Monaco Yacht Show. The yacht features a diesel electric hybrid propulsion system, with the intention of having a minimal impact on the environment and she has a range of 5,000 nm. When delivered, the superyacht will comply with latest IMO MARPOL regulations and will be equipped with a bilge water separator even though this is not requested by class.

​Inside, the Columbus 40M Sport Hybrid features a modern interior by Hot Lab, and she will offer accommodation up to 12 guests, in 4 guest staterooms on the lower deck, and a large owner’s suite on the main deck.

The 40S Hybrid is the second launch for Columbus Yachts, after the successful launch of the 53.70 metre superyacht Prima in 2011. The Columbus 40S Hybrid will be on display at the Monaco Yacht Show in berth Quai des Etats-Unis E14.
