Beneteau America to Boost Presence at 2014 Newport Boat Show

Beneteau America said it is increasing its presence by 50 percent next week at the Newport International Boat Show, displaying 16 powerboats and sailboats for visitors to tour and purchase.

Beneteau said the increased presence is not only a direct result of demand in the market, but also of the builder’s conscious effort to continuously invest and introduce new products.

That bodes well for New England dealers such as Cape Yachts of South Dartmouth, Mass., and Prestige Yacht Sales of Mystic, Conn., because they get about 20 to 30 percent of their sales from the show.

“We are so excited about this year’s Newport Boat Show that we wanted to give people a sneak peek into what we have in store,”Beneteau America marketing director Maryline O’Shea said in a statement. “Beneteau will have something for everyone to come see and enjoy.”

The sailboats on display will be the First 25, the Oceanis 38, 41, 45, 48 and 55, and the Sense 46 and 55. The powerboats at the show will be the Barracuda 7 and 9, the Gran Turismo 38, 44 and 49, the Swift Trawler 34 and 44, and the Monte Carlo 5.
